And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world (1 John 2:2). It is important for us to understand that statement as we proceed to follow the commandment and the commission given to us by our Lord and Savior. Jesus said, “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you” (John 15:12); and, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19). The one another is not just for our brothers and sisters in the Lord, but also for the whole world. As we go therefore we are to take the love. We live the example of love by abiding in Jesus and Him abiding in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world (1 John 4:13-14). The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Galatians 5:22-23a). As we go, we need to show; and not expect the unsaved to already love us. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is what we are bringing to them that they may also abide in the Christ.
